In August, a dynamic event brought together 30 in-person and over 60 remote participants to spotlight the collaboration between academia and humanitarian action. Hosted at the ICRC headquarters in Geneva, the event featured a keynote by Professor Gilles Carbonnier and engaging presentations from Humanitarian Action Challenge (HAC) grantees from ETH Zürich and EPFL. This gathering highlighted innovative projects bridging research and practical applications, showcasing how these initiatives are driving tangible benefits for the ICRC.
