The Digital Dilemmas: Humanitarian Consequences exhibition, presented by the EPFL EssentialTech Centre and the ICRC in partnership with the EPFL Center for Digital Trust (C4DT) and EPFL Pavilions, offers an immersive exploration of the digital risks faced by civilians and humanitarian workers in conflict zones. Visitors engage with scenarios highlighting how technologies can both aid and endanger vulnerable populations, exposing personal data, enabling surveillance, and spreading disinformation. This edition featured new challenges and showcases solutions developed by EPFL labs in collaboration with the ICRC and ETH Zurich through the Engineering for Humanitarian Action initiative.
