SCION Project: Scalability, Control, and Isolation On Next-Generation Networks

Following their Humanitarian Action Challenges (HAC) project titled “Secure Infrastructure for Humanitarian Organisations,” the team led by Prof. Dr. Adrian Perrig (ETH Zürich) and Vincent Graf Narbel (ICRC) continued to advance the Scalability, Control, and Isolation On Next-Generation Networks (SCION) project. The team received additional funding from ICRC Luxembourg following the initial HAC grant. The allocated funds were distributed with a focus on research, implementation, and project management. SCION connectivity has now been established in Nigeria, Ghana, and Luxembourg at the ICRC delegation, and testing is underway. Despite delays in the African deployments, the team is committed to completing the deployment and testing phase.
