With the help of artificial intelligence, the International Committee of the Red Cross and remote sensing specialists at ETH Zurich want to detect and monitor crises and conflicts at an early stage by analysing satellite images. The aim is to initiate humanitarian efforts as fast and precisely as possible. The research project led by Prof. Jan Dirk Wegner and Valerie Sticher was featured on 3Sat (15:15, in German).
